How to get to Warsaw and Hotel

The Radisson SAS Centrum Hotel is located in the heart of Warsaw just a 20-minute drive from the airport. The National Theatre, Old Town and Presidential Palace are all just an easy walk from the hotel, so are the the Palace of Culture and Science and the Central Railway Station.

Doesn’t matter how and at what time are you going to come to Warsaw – IAESTE Poland members will pick you up :-), but please read some useful information below.

By air

The Frederic Chopin International Airport (Okęcie) (http://www.lotnisko-chopina.pl) is located within the city, around 15 km from the centre. The Arrivals Hall (international and domestic) is located in the new Terminal 2 building (gruound level), the International and Domestic Departures Hall is located in Terminal 1 (level two), and also in Terminal 2 (level two). Both Departure Terminals are in a short walking distance from each other.

The cheap flights airlines are hosted by Ediuda Terminal, located around 10/15 min walk from the main part of the airport.

The average cost for the taxi ride to the city centre should be around 30 PLN. Please always choose the corporate taxis waiting at the exit from the Terminals.

To reach the city centre from the airport you need to take bus number 175 to the Central Railway station (Dw. Centralny) and from there either walk along Al. Jana Pawla II (15/20 min) or take a tram or a bus for one stop to Rondo ONZ stop and walk further from there. The cost of the single trip ticket is 2,80 PLN, or 4 PLN for a 60 minute ticket that you can use at any transport mean within the city. Day pass costs 9 PLN.

Buses and taxis depart from Terminal 1 and 2. There are two Multistorey Car Parks in front of Terminals 1 and 2.

By train

In Warsaw there are three large railway stations for international and domestic connections: Warsaw Western (Warszawa Zachodnia), Warsaw Central (Warszawa Centralna), Warsaw Eastern (Warszawa Wschodnia). The station of our interest is the Central Station, located in the heart of the city centre (Al. Jerozolimskie 54).

The largest coach station, both for domestic and international destinations, is the Warsaw Western Coach Station (Dworzec PKS Warszawa Zachodnia) on Al. Jerozolimskie 144.

Another coach station, for eastbound destinations, both domestic and international, is the Warsaw Stadium Coach Station (Warszawa Stadion) on Al.Zieleniecka.

By car

Notice, the motorway are paid in Poland. However they are the easiest way of traveling by car and are the best suited for international travelling.
